Governor Steve Sisolak of Nevada announced that $20 million from the American Rescue Act will be invested into building Nevada’s crisis stabilization centers. The crisis stabilization centers will work in conjunction with the hotline, 988, which is scheduled to launch nationwide on July 16. The new, statewide 3-digit phone number will connect people experiencing a behavioral health crisis with suicide prevention and mental health crisis counselors.
