The Life Change Center is a non-profit organization that proudly serves women of Northern Nevada who seek safety, shelter, and support during a crisis. The Life Change Center offers a mentoring foster program that teaches self-sufficiency and well-being.

Women in the Life Change residential program receive diverse interventions from everything from substance abuse recovery, homelessness, sex trafficking, and domestic violence. With the primary themes being empowerment and improving quality of life, the women who graduate the program leave with the skills to re-enter society and reunify with their children.

The Life Change Center is proud to announce that they are opening three new homes in Washoe County, specifically to house women who are leaving prison or escaping domestic violence. Life Change has secured these new homes, and is now facing the challenges is to furnish them.

A Life Change house is more than a residential facility. Each Life Change house becomes a home for their clients. The women spend their free time together and cook dinner as a family. In order for the healing to happen, Life Change needs to make these new houses have a warm environment.

The Life Change Center is currently looking for new items to be donated to furnish the three new homes in Washoe County. Items needed include towels, twin-size bedding, dishes, new appliances; anything that turns a house into a home.
