Updated Guidance for People with Opioid Use Disorder Under The ADA

The Department of Justice issued guidance on protections for people with opioid use disorder (OUD) under the Americans with Disabilities Act who are in treatment or recovery, including those who take medication to treat their OUD. The guidance protects people with OUD who are in treatment or recovery from experiencing discrimination in the workplace, healthcare, and government settings.
